Tuna
Tuna is one of the fishery commodities in South Sulawesi. The amount of tuna is quite abundant in the waters of South Sulawesi. Japan and the United States are listed as the main tuna export destinations. Tuna contains a lot of omega 3, B vitamins, vitamin D and protein needed by humans, so the global demand for this commodity is quite high. Bone Bay and Makassar Strait are the centers of tuna-producing waters in South Sulawesi. Data from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries shows the volume of tuna production from South Sulawesi reached 15,708 tons in 2018.
