Exceeding the National Target, South Sulawesi Investments in 2023 Reach IDR 16.451 Trillion
Makassar, sulselprov.go.id - The investment realization in South Sulawesi Province (Sulsel) for the year 2023 reached IDR 16.451 trillion. According to data from the South Sulawesi Investment and Integrated One-Stop Services Agency (SSIIOSSA), this investment realization consists of IDR 4.983 trillion of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and IDR 11.468 trillion of Domestic Direct Investment (DDI).
Out of the total investment throughout 2023, it has absorbed 19,186 workers. This comprises 18,969 Indonesian Workers (IW) and 217 Foreign Workers (FW).
"The investment realization in 2023 reached IDR 16.451 trillion. This realization achieved 113 percent of the national target of IDR 14.555 trillion," said the Acting Head of the South Sulawesi Investment and Integrated One-Stop Services Agency (SSIIOSSA), Idham Kadir, on Friday, February 2, 2024.
The investment realization in 2023 increased compared to the investment realization in 2022, which amounted to IDR 14.258 trillion.
"This achievement is also thanks to the hard work of the SSIIOSSA in regencies and cities, which continue to expedite and simplify the licensing process for business actors in their respective regions," he stated.
He expressed appreciation to business actors in South Sulawesi for their cooperation in fulfilling their obligations to report investment developments through the oss.go.id portal, thus enabling this year's investment realization to be achieved.
For the period from October to December or the fourth quarter of 2023, investment realization amounted to IDR 4.033 trillion. This consists of IDR 1.417 trillion of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and IDR 2.615 trillion of Domestic Direct Investment (DDI).
Based on sectors, investment realization in 2023 includes mining at IDR 2.963 trillion (18.01 percent); basic metals, metal goods, non-machinery at IDR 2.891 trillion (17.58 percent); transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications at IDR 2.059 trillion (12.52 percent); housing, construction industry, and offices at IDR 1.636 trillion (9.95 percent); trade and repairs at IDR 1.560 trillion (9.48 percent).
Based on location, the Top 5 Investment Realizations in 2023 are in Makassar City at IDR 5.891 trillion, Luwu Regency at IDR 2.570 trillion, East Luwu Regency at IDR 2.229 trillion, Bantaeng Regency at IDR 1.266 trillion, and Maros Regency at IDR 897 billion.
For the Top 5 countries of origin for investment, they are Canada at IDR 1.907 trillion, China at IDR 1.148 trillion, Australia at IDR 924 billion, Singapore at IDR 418 billion, and Malaysia at IDR 178 billion.
