Exceeding Target, South Sulawesi Investment Reaches IDR 13.636 Trillion
MAKASSAR - The realization of investment in South Sulawesi has exceeded the target. Up to the third quarter of 2021, it has reached IDR 13.636 trillion or 111 percent of the target of the Ministry of Investment / BKPM. The Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPM-PTSP) of South Sulawesi has released the realization of the survey in the third quarter of 2021 on Wednesday (3/11/2021). Especially for the third quarter of 2021, the recorded investment value is IDR 3.197 trillion. The realization is spread over Domestic Investment (PMDN) of IDR 2.477 trillion and Foreign Investment of IDR 719 billion. Meanwhile, cumulatively throughout January-September 2021 period, it has reached IDR 13.636 trillion. Of the cumulative total, PMDN was recorded at IDR 10,785 trillion and PMA for IDR 2,850 trillion. The realization is around 170% of the target of 2021 South Sulawesi RPJMD, which is IDR 8 trillion and 111 percent of the target of the Ministry of Investment which is IDR 12.33 trillion.
Head of DMPTSP, Denny Irawan, explained that the largest realization in the third quarter of 2021 was still dominated by Makassar City at IDR 997.967 billion or 31.21 percent. Then followed by Gowa Regency amounting to IDR 752.702 billion or 23.54 percent. "Furthermore, there are East Luwu Regency with an investment realization of IDR 444.153 billion or 13.89 percent, North Toraja Regency of IDR 265.209 billion or 8.29 percent, Bantaeng Regency of IDR 148.023 billion or 4.62 percent, and other regencies/cities IDR 589.159 billion or 18.42 percent," he explained.
Based on the business sector, DPM-PTSP recorded the transportation, warehouse, and telecommunications sectors with the highest investment value. In the third quarter of 2021, the realization reached IDR 823.379 billion or 25.75 percent. “In addition to transportation, warehouses, and telecommunications, the mining sector is also recorded quite well. The realization was IDR 526.151 billion or 16.45 percent. Then followed by the electricity, gas and water sector with IDR 471.412 billion or 14.74 percent, and the housing, industrial and office areas sector with IDR 260.478 billion or 8.14 percent.”
